Help Vichai restart a laundry service in Bangkok after floodwater
Vichai lost two washing machines and a dryer to floodwater and needs $900 to reopen a laundry service and support the family.

For six years I have run a laundry service in Bangkok. In July, floodwater took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $900 goes:
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $490
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $85
• Shop repairs and licensing: $165
• Working capital for the first month: $160
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless
Rooting for you, Vichai. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Vichai.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. replacing two washing machines and a dryer comes first ($490) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
thinking of you, Vichai. Looking forward to the next update. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Niterói.
Hope it all works out, Vichai. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Sending strength. This could happen to any of us. Don't give up. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family, Vichai. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Lagos
Hang in there. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Bangkok.
Wishing you the best. Hope you make a strong comeback. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Love from Dasmariñas.
