Valentina is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a pharmacy diploma at Juiz de Fora Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $850.
The registrar has said Valentina can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Valentina has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Valentina would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Valentina isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Juiz de Fora Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
