Tài is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Hồ Chí Minh City Community College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $800.
The registrar has said Tài can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Tài has a distinction average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Tài would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Tài isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Hồ Chí Minh City Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
