Sushma was diagnosed with prostate cancer in February. The oncology team at Lalitpur Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Sushma is 26, worked as a shop owner until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Lalitpur Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,400 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $830 • Scans and lab work: $175 • Transport to Lalitpur Regional Medical Center: $135 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $60 • Household costs while unable to work: $200 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
