Susana was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in August. The surgeon at Saint Mary Hospital recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,500, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $6,050 short.
my mother has been in and out of Saint Mary Hospital since August. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Susana struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Susana won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
