Help Sohel restart a small grocery stall in New Delhi after floodwater

Sohel has run a small grocery stall for fifteen years; floodwater destroyed the equipment, and $650 will put it back on its feet.

New Delhi
For fifteen years I have run a small grocery stall in New Delhi. In February, floodwater took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $650 goes: • Replacing a cold-storage unit: $450 • Initial stock: fresh produce: $70 • Shop repairs and licensing: $85 • Working capital for the first month: $45 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Sohel

Keep going, Sohel. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together. Take care

Thinking of you, Sohel. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.

Keep going, Sohel. Hope you make a strong comeback. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
