Help Silvia restart a bicycle repair shop in Bogotá after a break-in
A bicycle repair shop in Bogotá needs help replacing a full set of tools after a break-in.
🇨🇴 Colombia578 views
For nine years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Bogotá. In October, a break-in took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $800 goes:
• Replacing a full set of tools: $480
• Initial stock: spare parts: $200
• Shop repairs and licensing: $75
• Working capital for the first month: $45
Thank you so much.

Take care, Silvia. Shared it with a few friends. My neighbor in Istanbul donated after I showed her your page
Sending strength. I hope things turn around soon. Take care!
best of luck, Silvia. Hope you get there. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Your post was clear and honest. Love from Vigo.
Sending good thoughts, Silvia. Small businesses are the heart of Bogotá. Hope you're open again soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
