A first-generation student, Shweta needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a degree in civil engineering.

Shweta is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in civil engineering at Detroit State College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,700.
The registrar has said Shweta can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Shweta has a distinction average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Shweta would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Shweta isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Detroit State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. outstanding tuition balance comes first ($2,100) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks for looking so closely.
