Ryan was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in November. The oncology team at Newcastle upon Tyne University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in March. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Ryan is 37, worked as a hairdresser until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Newcastle upon Tyne University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
