Rasha is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in civil engineering at the Giza Institute of Technology, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $400.
The registrar has said Rasha can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Rasha has a first-class average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Rasha would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Rasha isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
