Help Priya restart a phone repair counter in Johannesburg after a fire in the building
A phone repair counter in Johannesburg needs help replacing a soldering station and testing tools after a fire in the building.
🇿🇦 Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa1,209 views
For twelve years I have run a phone repair counter in Johannesburg. In August, a fire in the building took a soldering station and testing tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $300 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $85
• Initial stock: replacement parts: $110
• Shop repairs and licensing: $105
Every share and every dollar helps.

So sorry you're going through this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
Rooting for you. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. After 27 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings
Hope this works out for you. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Johannesburg
Wishing you the best, Priya. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Johannesburg.
Thinking of you and your family. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 19 years in customer support I know how hard it is to ask for anything. God bless.
I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
Rooting for you. Small businesses are the heart of Johannesburg. Hope you're open again soon. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
Praying for you. Looking forward to the next update. We're a small family in Iztapalapa but we're thinking of you. All the best.
