Palesa was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in April. The surgeon at Pretoria Regional Medical Center recommended valve repair surgery, and She is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $2,250 short.
my wife has been in and out of Pretoria Regional Medical Center since April. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Palesa struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
