Help Misaki through 12 rounds of treatment for early-stage lung cancer
Misaki is facing early-stage lung cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇯🇵 Kanagawa, Japan804 views
Misaki was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in May. The oncology team at the Yokohama Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Misaki is 37, worked as a nurse until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Yokohama Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $9,300 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,000
• Scans and lab work: $1,100
• Transport to the Yokohama Oncology Institute: $320
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $630
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,250
Thanks for reading all this.

Sending love. This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out!
