Miles is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a law degree at Columbus Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,650.
The registrar has said Miles can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Miles has a 3.9 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Miles would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Miles isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.

• Final term tuition: $1,100
• Exam and lab fees: $330
• Textbooks and materials: $120

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Miles.
Sure. The biggest one is outstanding tuition balance, $1,100. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. I'll keep the page updated.
