Help Miguel through 6 rounds of treatment for prostate cancer
6 rounds of treatment are planned at Bakersfield Regional Medical Center; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Miguel was diagnosed with prostate cancer in March. The oncology team at Bakersfield Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Miguel is 35, worked as a primary school teacher until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bakersfield Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,450 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $340
• Scans and lab work: $1,300
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,810
