Help me through 6 rounds of treatment for early-stage lung cancer
6 rounds of treatment are planned at the Boulogne-Billancourt Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

In July I was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer. My oncology team at the Boulogne-Billancourt Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in September. I was told to expect about 6 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 50, I worked as a tailor until July, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to the Boulogne-Billancourt Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $8,000 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,550
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,000
• Scans and lab work: $840
• Transport to the Boulogne-Billancourt Oncology Institute: $610
Thanks for being kind about this.

Wishing you peace, Rima. Hope the doctors have good news. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
