Help me pay for septoplasty at Lagos Orthopedic Institute
A scheduled septoplasty in June is out of reach without help covering $400 of the cost.
🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria1,034 views
In March I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. My surgeon at Lagos Orthopedic Institute recommended septoplasty, and I have been placed on the schedule for June. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $570, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $400 short.
Doctors at Lagos Orthopedic Institute told me a benign brain tumor will get worse without septoplasty. I work as a delivery rider, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $570 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a delivery rider have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. I'll not be able to work a full shift during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $400 goes:
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $230
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $40
• Physiotherapy sessions: $75
• Travel and lodging for the family: $55
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Wishing Favour a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Hope the doctors have good news. Please keep us posted. Greetings from Berlin
