Sharon needs septoplasty at Buffalo Community Hospital and the family is $4,350 short of the hospital's estimate.

In February I was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect. My surgeon at Buffalo Community Hospital recommended septoplasty, and I have been placed on the schedule for April. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $7,250, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $4,350 short.
Doctors at Buffalo Community Hospital told me an aortic valve defect will get worse without septoplasty. I work as a seamstress, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $7,250 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a seamstress have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. I'll not be able to stand for more than ten minutes during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
