Help me pay for emergency hernia repair at Red Deer University Hospital

In July I was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc. My surgeon at Red Deer University Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and I have been placed on the schedule for October. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $12,000, and after what my employer's plan will pay, I'm still $7,150 short.
Doctors at Red Deer University Hospital told me a herniated spinal disc will get worse without emergency hernia repair. I work as a seamstress, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $12,000 is far beyond what I've.
