Help me finish a diploma in hospitality management at San Jose University - $5,550 to go
A first-generation student, Jennifer needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a diploma in hospitality management.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a diploma in hospitality management at San Jose University, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a tutor to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $5,550.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the San Jose University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $5,550 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,250
• Final term tuition: $3,050
• Exam and lab fees: $250
Thanks for being kind about this.

Hope things get better soon. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Karachi.
Sending strength, Jennifer. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Take care.
