I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a diploma in hospitality management at New Delhi Polytechnic, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a library assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $405.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a distinction average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the New Delhi Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $405 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $130
• Final term tuition: $220
• Exam and lab fees: $50
• Textbooks and materials: $5
Thanks for being kind about this.

Stay strong, Moumita. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Pretoria.
