I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in social work at Cebu City Community College, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a library assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $300.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Cebu City Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $300 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $45
• Exam and lab fees: $15
• Final term tuition: $240

This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Narayanganj but we're thinking of you. God bless.
Hope it all works out, Danica. Hope this works out for you. Wish I lived closer to Los Angeles so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Cebu City.
best of luck, Danica. Shared this with my family. God bless.
