Help me finish a degree in civil engineering at the Hyderabad Institute of Technology - $650 to go
A first-generation student, Kiran needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a degree in civil engineering.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in civil engineering at the Hyderabad Institute of Technology, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $650.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $650 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $290
• Final term tuition: $290
• Exam and lab fees: $30
• Textbooks and materials: $40
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Wishing you the best, Kiran. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update. All the best.
Praying for you, Kiran. Shared it with a few friends.
You're not alone, Kiran. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
Rooting for you, Kiran. Study hard! Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
