Help Marlene get back to civilian life: housing deposit and training
A marines veteran in Augsburg needs help with a first month of rent and transport to job interviews after leaving service with post-traumatic stress.

Matthias served fourteen years in the marines and was discharged in 2023 with post-traumatic stress. He has been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote comes to $3,500.
Matthias is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $3,500 goes:
• Training provider fees: $1,600
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,050
• Transport to appointments: $450
• Essential household items: $400
Glad we found this place.

Sending good thoughts, Marlene. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Stellenbosch.
Hang in there, Marlene. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
