Quinn, my mother, passed away on 21 January after a stroke. She was 49 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $5,000 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 5 February. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Quinn to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the San Jose hospice. Where the $5,000 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $3,150 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,500 • Transport of the deceased: $160 • Memorial gathering for the family: $190 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Madelyn
