Help Lucy restart a street-food cart in Jinja after a long illness and repossession
Lucy has run a street-food cart for fifteen years; a long illness and repossession destroyed the equipment, and $350 will put it back on its feet.

For fifteen years I have run a street-food cart in Jinja. In May, a long illness and repossession took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $350 goes:
• Replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators: $270
• Shop repairs and licensing: $35
• Initial stock: ingredients: $45
Thanks for being kind about this.

Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Dhaka.
Hang in there. Hope this works out for you. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
Hope things get better soon, Lucy. Hope this works out for you. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
You're not alone, Lucy. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
thinking of you and your family, Lucy. Looking forward to the next update. We're a small family in Riyadh but we're thinking of you. All the best.
Take care. Hope the shop reopens soon. Love from Kazan.
