Help Leah restart a phone repair counter in Los Angeles after a break-in
A phone repair counter in Los Angeles needs help replacing a soldering station and testing tools after a break-in.
Anywhere in the world849 views
For three years I have run a phone repair counter in Los Angeles. In April, a break-in took a soldering station and testing tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Replacing a soldering station and testing tools: $1,150
• Initial stock: replacement parts: $320
• Shop repairs and licensing: $280
• Working capital for the first month: $750
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending strength, Leah. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier
Hang in there, Leah. It takes guts to ask. Well done. God bless.
Looking forward to the next update. My neighbor in Tokyo donated after I showed her your page.
Hope it all works out. Hope you make a strong comeback. Put this on a community board in Bahir Dar this morning. Blessings.
You're not alone. Hope the shop reopens soon. I hope August is when things finally get easier.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Los Angeles
