Kofi was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in October. The oncology team at Accra Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in February. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Kofi is 24, worked as a hairdresser until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Accra Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $105
• Household costs while unable to work: $200
• Transport to Accra Regional Medical Center: $120
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,375
