Kevin was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in February. The oncology team at Los Angeles Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in May. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Kevin is 40, worked as a shop owner until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Los Angeles Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $12,850 goes: • Scans and lab work: $1,800 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $440 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $9,750 • Transport to Los Angeles Cancer Centre: $860 I hope life is good to you. - James

You're not alone. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless.
