Kalyani is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Kota State College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $800.
The registrar has said Kalyani can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Kalyani has a distinction average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Kalyani would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Kalyani isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Kota State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
