Help Julia pay for a craniotomy at Manukau University Hospital
Julia needs a craniotomy at Manukau University Hospital and the family is $6,200 short of the hospital's estimate.

Julia was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in July. The surgeon at Manukau University Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $12,500, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $6,200 short.
my mother has been in and out of Manukau University Hospital since July. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $12,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Julia struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Julia won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $6,200 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $190
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $2,700
• Physiotherapy sessions: $310
• Travel and lodging for the family: $180
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $2,820
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

you're not alone, Robert. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick.
Hang in there, Robert. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. After 25 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything
Thinking of you, Robert. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Birmingham this morning. All the best.
