Help Janet restart a barbershop in Kasarani after a storm that collapsed the roof
Janet lost clippers, chairs and mirrors to a storm that collapsed the roof and needs $500 to reopen a barbershop and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a barbershop in Kasarani. In September, a storm that collapsed the roof took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $500 goes:
• Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $290
• Working capital for the first month: $130
• Initial stock: supplies: $80
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Thanks for sharing this, Janet. Small businesses are the heart of Kasarani. Hope you're open again soon. All the best
Hope this works out for you. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Kasarani.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 20 years in teaching I know how hard it is to ask for anything.
