Jade is facing stage 3 ovarian cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Jade was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in July. The oncology team at San Diego Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Jade is 56, worked as a farmer until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Diego Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,700
• Transport to San Diego Regional Medical Center: $630
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $920
