Halima was diagnosed with kidney cancer in August. The oncology team at Mwanza Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Halima is 24, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mwanza Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Transport to Mwanza Regional Medical Center: $75
• Scans and lab work: $175
• Household costs while unable to work: $220
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $80
