Ellen was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in April. The oncology team at Eindhoven University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Ellen is 37, worked as a primary school teacher until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Eindhoven University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $7,900 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,400 • Scans and lab work: $910 • Transport to Eindhoven University Hospital: $610 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $460 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,520 Thank you for reading my story.
