Elias was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in July. The oncology team at Geelong Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Elias is 27, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Geelong Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Scans and lab work: $740
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $9,000
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,000
• Transport to Geelong Regional Medical Center: $760
