Douglas was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in October. The oncology team at the San Francisco Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Douglas is 58, worked as a taxi driver until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the San Francisco Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $9,500
