Christina is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an agriculture degree at Thessaloniki Community College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,750.
The registrar has said Christina can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Christina has a 3.8 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Christina would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Christina isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Thessaloniki Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,100
• Final term tuition: $1,350
• Exam and lab fees: $150
• Textbooks and materials: $150
Thanks for being kind about this.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Christina.
Outstanding tuition balance is $1,100 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Good question.
Hope it all works out, Charalambos. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Thessaloniki!
