Help Christian get back to civilian life: housing deposit and training
An engineering corps veteran in Corpus Christi needs help with a trained service dog and handler course after leaving service with a traumatic brain injury.
🇺🇸 Corpus Christi, Texas, United States4,190 views
I served fourteen years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2021 with a traumatic brain injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $4,250.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $4,250 goes:
• Essential household items: $660
• Transport to appointments: $290
• Training provider fees: $3,300
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hope things get better soon, Christian. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. All the best
Thinking of you and your family. Hope this works out for you. After 27 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Envigado
