Help Chioma through 4 rounds of treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Supporting Chioma through acute lymphoblastic leukemia: medication, transport to the Gwagwalada Oncology Institute, and living costs while She can't work.
Anywhere in the world1,150 views
Chioma was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in April. The oncology team at the Gwagwalada Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Chioma is 29, worked as a primary school teacher until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Gwagwalada Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,300 goes:
⢠Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,000
⢠Transport to the Gwagwalada Oncology Institute: $170
⢠Scans and lab work: $130
If you're reading this, thank you.

Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of Gwagwalada.
Best of luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Campinas.
