Carolina is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an accounting degree at the Fresno Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,250.
The registrar has said Carolina can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Carolina has a 3.8 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Carolina would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Carolina isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Fresno Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
