Camila was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in April. The oncology team at San Francisco University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Camila is 46, worked as a tailor until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Francisco University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
