Help Balaji through 4 rounds of treatment for stomach cancer
Supporting Balaji through stomach cancer: medication, transport to Mangaluru Cancer Centre, and living costs while He can't work.
🇮🇳 Karnataka, India454 views
Balaji was diagnosed with stomach cancer in July. The oncology team at Mangaluru Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Balaji is 44, worked as a primary school teacher until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mangaluru Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $85
• Transport to Mangaluru Cancer Centre: $110
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,100
• Scans and lab work: $205
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
