Babar is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Lahore University, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $400.
The registrar has said Babar can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Babar has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Babar would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Babar isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $400 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $40
• Exam and lab fees: $30
• Outstanding tuition balance: $330
Every share and every dollar helps.
