Ashwin is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a master's in public health at Kochi State College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $550.
The registrar has said Ashwin can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Ashwin has a top-ten-percent average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Ashwin would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Ashwin isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.

• Exam and lab fees: $35
• Textbooks and materials: $45
