Calamba

For fifteen years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Calamba. In March, a storm that collapsed the roof took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $650 goes: • Replacing a full set of tools: $320 • Initial stock: spare parts: $125 • Shop repairs and licensing: $60 • Working capital for the first month: $145 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Updates from Angelo

Good news. Because of your gifts ($360 in total) I made the first payment toward working capital for the first month. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Update from Calamba: we've started the first stage. We're at 26% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
