Help Alexa through 4 rounds of treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma
Supporting Alexa through Hodgkin lymphoma: medication, transport to Bronx Cancer Centre, and living costs while She can't work.
🇺🇸 Bronx, New York, United States805 views
Alexa was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in May. The oncology team at Bronx Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Alexa is 39, worked as a bank teller until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bronx Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $11,050 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,750
• Scans and lab work: $720
• Transport to Bronx Cancer Centre: $970
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $580
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,030
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

What exactly is the $11,050 for?
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. chemotherapy and medication not covered comes first ($6,750) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. It helps to be asked.
good luck, Miles. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. All the best
Keep going, Miles. Shared this with my family. Thinking of Bronx.
rooting for you, Miles. Hope you get there. All the best
