Help Alberto restart a neighborhood bakery in Monterrey after floodwater
A neighborhood bakery in Monterrey needs help replacing a commercial oven after floodwater.
🇲🇽 Nuevo León, Mexico438 views
For six years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Monterrey. In June, floodwater took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $450 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $155
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $180
• Working capital for the first month: $115
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

take care, Alberto. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Houston but we're thinking of you. All the best.
Thinking of you, Alberto. Shared this with my family. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Jalandhar.
