Heather is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a computer science degree at Fort Worth Polytechnic, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,000.
The registrar has said Heather can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Heather has a 3.6 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Heather would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Heather isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.

• Outstanding tuition balance: $2,100
• Final term tuition: $1,350
• Exam and lab fees: $175
• Textbooks and materials: $375
