Hayato is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a law degree at Kitakyushu University, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,850. The registrar has said Hayato can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Hayato has a 3.6 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Hayato would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Hayato isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $2,850 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,500 • Final term tuition: $1,100 • Exam and lab fees: $145 • Textbooks and materials: $105 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Love from Feira de Santana.

Best of luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from El Paso.

Hope things get better soon, Junko. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
